Hard times …

The Hard Ons are kind of like that old uncle from interstate that you dig; if he’s coming to town, you go see him because you never know if it’s going to be the last time.
That philosophy applied even when I broke my neck getting to their 21st anniversary show at the Green Room, back when I was living in Melbourne and dude, that was like, 9 years ago. And they’re still playing. It’s like that uncle you dig on that … just won’t die. Or something. Butt seriously, I’m not complaining because the Hard Ons are one of the best bands to not only come out of Australia, but in the history of time, space and all that mind boggling noise. Period. 1.5 hours. 5 encores. One of the finest guitarists yet to pick up an SG. And they even played Kill Your Mum. Awesome, awesome show, and thanks to Captain Ned, Thad and Tui for the hangs.
If I get the chance, I’ll put some more up on my flickr for you. K? K.
